Women's Ministry Luncheon

Please come to the luncheon on September 12, 2023 at 11:30 AM sponsored by the WPC Women’s Ministry. Our speaker is Karen Haas, Storyteller, a local performer who brings the past to life with her living history presentations. Karen is a former K-12 music teacher and museum curator of education who was one of the founders of the annual Tacoma Living History Cemetery Tour. Karen’s stories, both traditional and new, may bring laughter, tears, shivers, or a deep thought or two and will always entertain. She believes that our stories tell who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we are going. Her presentation, Sisters in Time, takes us back to the summer of 1855, a time of vast changes in the Puget Sound as more and more people of ethnic backgrounds and diverse history settled in the area. Karen will portray very different women of that summer as she sings their songs and tells their stories.
