Christine began ministry at Westminster as Associate Pastor in April 2005. Her half-time position includes pastoral care, worship, preaching and some teaching. She is blessed to serve alongside a wonderful staff and dedicated congregation. Christine shares pastoral care duties and lends support to the Deacons and Stephen Ministers. She obtained a Bachelor in Music for Flute Performance from the University of Puget Sound in 1988 and graduated with a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1993. She has served in ministry as a Youth Director and an ordained Elder in the PCUSA. Christine lives on the Westside of Olympia with her husband Jim and two children, Bridget and Donovan. She has many interests including music (of all kinds), reading, knitting, exercise, and cooking. Jesus guiding words for her life and ministry from John 15:12 are, This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Like most people she needs lots of help to really do that so she turns to a favorite psalm for encouragement and comfort, I lift up my eyes to the hills from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1, 2.
